गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ Lalita Niwas land scam: CIB presents report to District Government Attorney Office Nepal Lalita Niwas land scam: CIB presents report to District Government Attorney Office KathmanduPati August 22, 2023 KATHMANDU – The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has today submitted its report about the Lalita Niwas land procurement scam to the District Government Attorney Office Kathmandu. Office Chief Achyutmani Neupane confirmed that it received the report regarding the land scam from the CIB. On Sunday night, the CIB recorded statements from former Prime Ministers Madhav Kumar Nepal and Dr Baburam Bhattarai who were alleged to have involvement in the scam. On Monday, the CIB confronted with former Deputy Prime Minister, Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar, former minister Chandra Dev Joshi and former minister of state, Sanjay Shah, for the statements. The case about the illicit acquisition of the Baluwatar-based Lalita Niwas land by various individuals is under consideration at the Special Court. The police suspects forgery of government documents and unauthorized use of signatures while registering the public land into names of various individuals.
