The jeep enroute to Junichaade Rural Municipality from the district headquarters Khalanga plunged into the Aulkhola River and claimed the lives of Amar Bahadur Shahi, the ward chairman, as well as five other locals. DSP Kishor Shrestha, the district police chief of Jajarkot, said that the road mishap took six lives. The jeep with the number plate Bhe 1 Ja 935 veered off the road and plunged nearly 500 meters into the Aulkhola River, the district police chief said. The reason behind the road accident is not yet clear.
