In a tweet, Indian ambassador Kwatra said that they had discussed on how to further strengthen bilateral economic and development partnership. “Called on General Secretary (NCP) & Hon’ble Minister of Finance Mr. Bishnu Prasad Paudel @bpaudel1959. Had positive discussions to further strengthen the bilateral economic and development partnership between the two countries for mutual prosperity and progress,” wrote Ambassador Kwatra in his tweet. During the meeting, Indian ambassador Kwatra also handed over a check of Rs 1 billion to the Ministry of Finance as part of its funding for the housing reconstruction projects in Gorkha and Nuwakot. “Used this opportunity to also hand over a cheque of NPR 1 billion as the next tranche under the India funded housing reconstruction projects in Gorkha and Nuwakot,” the tweet added.
