KATHMANDU: Visiting Vice Minister in the international department of the Communist Party of China, Guo Yezhou, has met Nepal Communist Party (NCP) co chairs Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Madhav Kumar Nepal separately.
The Chinese-team led by Vice Minister Yezhou reached Prachanda’s residence Khumaltar today morning to meet him.
During the meeting that lasted nearly one hour, they discussed the government’s move to dissolve the House of Representatives and the imminent split in the ruling NCP, among other contemporary issues.
After holding discussions with Prachanda, the Chinese team also went to Everest Hotel in Baneshwor to meet another NCP chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal.
Earlier on Sunday, the Chinese team had paid courtesy calls on Prime Minister and NCP Chairman KP Sharma Oli and President Bidya Devi Bhandari separately.
Expressing dissatisfaction over the intra-party dispute that has left the party on the verge of split, the high-level Chinese team has been making efforts to bring back the party unity on the track, according to NCP sources.
Chinese Vice Minister Yezhou is scheduled to meet Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and Janata Samajwadi Party Chairman Baburam Bhattarai.
