Flights to and from the district could not take place due to the incessant rains throughout the country including in Humla. The private airlines which had been operating regular flights from Nepalgunj and Surkhet even during the prohibitory period suspended the flights due to unfavourable weather. The Simkot Airport Office here said that flights had to be suspended due to the incessant rainfall in the district caused by the monsoon wind that entered Nepal. Meanwhile, the transportation of food grain, construction materials and logistics and daily consumer goods to the district from outside has also stopped with the suspension of flights. This is likely to create shortage of essential goods in the district.RSS Write your comments RELATED NEWS Chilime-Trishuli 220 kV transmission line construction nears completion Baglung flood death toll reaches three Teej being celebrated across the country today Constitution recognises ‘people’s war’ as armed conflict, none allowed for expression… Melamchi flood victims complain of not getting grant amount Eye Hospital and local governments continue collaboration for blindness elimination Top Headlines Nepal, India sign long-term agreement on electricity export, materializing MoU reached during PM’s visit1 NC, Maoist Centre discuss about NA election2 Dhakal recommended as SC chief registrar3 1.3 kilos of gold confiscated from TIA4 President expresses concern over ’emptying’ villages for lack of employment opportunities5 PM Dahal stresses on developing innovative agricultural system6 Govt. forms former-judge Poudel led probe commission to investigate Balkumari incident7 Manpower agency owner arrested for cheating more than Rs 1.9 million8 TRENDING Public Relations for a Soldier Nepal Army initiates investigation into case of financial irregularities by Lieutenant Colonel Janmat Karki Lockdown 2.0: What the Government should do this time around Money laundering case worth millions filed against gangster ‘Bale’ Prithivi Narayan Shah-tyrant or a builder of the nation ?
