गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Politics ∕ Rastriya Swatantra Party to take part in election of President Politics Rastriya Swatantra Party to take part in election of President KathmanduPati March 09, 2023 File Photo KATHMANDU – A meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP)’s parliamentary party along with the office-bearers today unanimously decided to take part in the voting in the election to the President. The meeting was held at 11am. Party spokesperson and general secretary Dr Mukul Dhakal said the meeting decided to vote in the Presidential election. He said although the party’s lawmakers would be voting, they would not disclose which candidate they are voting for since the voting is confidential in accordance with President and Vice President Election Act, 2074 BS. “We were unanimous on this decision abiding by the code-of-conduct and a decision has been made not to disclose whom we are voting for,” he said. Party Chair and Federal Parliament member Dol Prasad Aryal said the meeting has made a decision to vote for one of the two candidates and that lawmakers from the party would be voting accordingly. “We are not in a position to make it public whom we are voting for as the code of conduct is in force,” he added.
