Speaking during a special hour of the meeting, CPN (UML)’s Raghuji Panta sought clarity on the agenda for the Prime Minister’s visit. “Prime Minister Dahal has not informed the parliament about his India-visit despite repeated calls,” he said. During the PM’s visit, Nepal should discuss the matters relating to the amendment of the 1950 treaty with India, and the publication of the report of the Eminent Persons Group, he suggested. “There should be a discussion on a new treaty on the matter of the recruitment of Nepali in the Indian Army. The agenda for the visit should be the issues ranging from the halt of the SAARC Summit when Nepal is the current SAARC Chair, to air routes,” he said.
