The leader passed away on Tuesday following a cardiac arrest at the age of 71. According to UML publicity department secretary, Gagan Bista, the mortal remains of the leader are to be kept within the party central office at Chyasal in Lalitpur till 1:00 pm today before taking the body to his residence in Baluwatar. There, family members, his relatives, and friends will time to pay their respects to the late leader. The arrival of his sons from abroad is awaited for the performance of his last rights which have been scheduled 11:00 am tomorrow, Thursday with State honours at the Pashupati Aryaghat. In honor of the late leader, the party has decided to observe three days of mourning and lower the party flag to half-mast during this period.
