Kathmandu- Youth leaders of the Nepali Congress have expressed concern over the formation of central departments in the party. A dozen youth central members issued a press release questioning the legitimacy of the formation of the department, with only two months remaining until the party’s next convention.
They argued that it was a sheer violation of the election code of conduct to appoint officials to the party departments, when the date for the 14th general convention had already been fixed. Such a meaningless action must be scrapped, they added.
Among the youth leaders who issued the press release were Dr. Chandra Bhandari, Dhanraj Gurung, Kamala Pant, Gagan Thapa, Gururaj Ghimire, Pandri Pande, Ratna Sherchan, Jivan Pariyar, Pradip Poudel, Sarita Prasain, Ramkrishna Yadav, and Kiran Yadav. Together, they urged the party president to be a true patron of the party statute.
The party leadership was also requested to address the aspirations of the youths and the most urgent needs of the party.
