We have participated in the match to promote and encourage youths to the sport as futsal can be played in a small area,” he said.

Stating that politics and futsal are regarded as the same kind, he said futsal is played physically and politics ideologically. Saying sports is an important stream for the holistic development of the country, NA Chair Timilsina said sports help maintain discipline and unity.

“We have come out to play the match to encourage the youth towards sports. We must advance to promote sports.”

Deputy Speaker Rana stressed the need for parliamentarians to involve in sports like futsal sometimes for a peace of mind, escaping from their business in the parliamentary affairs. The tournament has been participated by the total 22 futsal teams, including five women teams.
