In the match played today at the Riffa-based National Stadium this morning, Nepal lost to Bahrain 3-0 goals. Strikers Syed Wakar, Abdulla Yusuf and Komail Al Aswad scored one goal each to take Bahrain to the lead. This is Nepal’s fourth consecutive defeat in Group ‘H’. Earlier, Nepal had lost to Bahrain 5-0 in the match held in Bahrain on March 21. Nepal had also suffered a 4-0 defeat to UAE and lost 2-0 to Yemen. Nepal is in the last place in the group with no points in four matches, while UAE tops the group with 12 points. Bahrain is placed second with nine points while Yemen is third with three points. Nepal will now face UAE and Yemen in the remaining two matches of the qualifiers.
