He died while undergoing treatment at the COVID hospital in Biratnagar on Saturday night, according to Mayor Rajendra Pokharel. The man had been suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure. He will be cremated in the presence of family members in Kankai aryaghat today. So far, two residents of Kankai municipality have succumbed to COVID-19. Meanwhile, the municipality has allocated a separate site at Kankai aryaghat to cremate the people who died due to the coronavirus. One out of five sites for cremation has been allocated, said Mayor Pokharel. The covid related death toll in Jhapa has reached six so far.
