The monsoon-triggered landslides hit the Surkhet-Jumla section along the Highway at several locations, bringing the traffic to a total halt. Landslides have been reported in Kitu of Dailekh, Gaganekhola, Hulma, Sunar Khola, Pili Serabada, Khallagad and Bhigma of Kalikot. Chief District Officer of Kalikot, Krishna Prasad Acharya, said continuous rains have made their efforts to clear off the landslide depositions futile.
