Flights to and from the district could not take place due to the incessant rains throughout the country including in Humla. The private airlines which had been operating regular flights from Nepalgunj and Surkhet even during the prohibitory period suspended the flights due to unfavourable weather. The Simkot Airport Office here said that flights had to be suspended due to the incessant rainfall in the district caused by the monsoon wind that entered Nepal. Meanwhile, the transportation of food grain, construction materials and logistics and daily consumer goods to the district from outside has also stopped with the suspension of flights. This is likely to create shortage of essential goods in the district.RSS Write your comments RELATED NEWS Monthly allowance of Rs.2,000 for unemployed graduates from Madhesh Gold price rises by Rs 900 per tola, silver up Rs… NPL 2025: Biratnagar Kings and Chitwan Rhinos competing today Weather to remain mainly fair today MoFAGA urges local levels to provide details of damage Yadav appointed Chief Minister of Madhesh Province Top Headlines TRENDING Prime Minister Oli’s confidante Prem Kumar Rai recommended as CIAA Chief Commissioner K2 rifles purchased by Nepal Army from Korean company found to be faulty ANM and Lab Assistant trainings to no longer be provided in Nepal, task force created for solution CIAA initiates investigation into financial irregularities complaints against two SSPs Nepal, China hold virtual meeting to discuss fight against coronavirus, review implementation of agreements Combatting Asia Pacific’s digital skills deficit in the post-Covid era Taplejung folks disapprove proposal for renaming Suketar Airport NC reschedules party convention in 16 districts for January 29
