Flights to and from the district could not take place due to the incessant rains throughout the country including in Humla. The private airlines which had been operating regular flights from Nepalgunj and Surkhet even during the prohibitory period suspended the flights due to unfavourable weather. The Simkot Airport Office here said that flights had to be suspended due to the incessant rainfall in the district caused by the monsoon wind that entered Nepal. Meanwhile, the transportation of food grain, construction materials and logistics and daily consumer goods to the district from outside has also stopped with the suspension of flights. This is likely to create shortage of essential goods in the district.RSS Write your comments RELATED NEWS Bangladeshi Ambassador pays courtesy call on Speaker Aryal Germany to provide 37.6 million Euro for Nepal’s socio-economic development Nepal reassures India over border remarks but domestic political fallout… No parking fees required for ‘pick and drop’ for 15… ‘Promotion of Ayurveda, Yoga and meditation along with modern medicine… Government initiates revising school level national curriculum framework Top Headlines Before the Ballots: How Oli Lost the Political Narrative1 Nepal “a Buffer State”: Rethinking foreign policy in relative terms2 Balen’s Silence Has Invited Curiosity, Confusion, and Concerns3 We will return the savings of cooperative victims within 100 days : Rabi Lamichhane4 Jagdamba Group Chairman Shankar Agrawal Arrested5 Two Offices Under Ministry of Communication to Be Abolished6 Court Orders Release of UML Rekha Sharma7 Nepali Congress provides financial assistance for Samba’s treatment8 TRENDING Pathao, Tootle resume ride sharing services after authorities relax lockdown Impact of Social Media on Nepalese Society Public Relations for a Soldier Now more than ever, support the IT sector The envisioned Defense University and its rationale Kulman Ghising’s reappointment issue stirs conflict between Prime Minister Oli, Energy Minister Pun The origins of MCC and its future in Nepal Nepal Army vows to complete Kathmandu-Terai Fast Track project in time
