MKC Deputy Mayor Hariprabha Khadki met Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Janakraj Dahal to talk about the issue. The Kathmandu district administration had issued a circular that the on footpath, stationery, electrical and electronic shops, department stores, department stores can be opened till 11:00 am in the morning and from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the evening. “With the coronavirus spreading at alarming rates in the Kathmandu Valley and contract tracing being difficult, allowing footpath shops to continue operating will fuel the spread of the virus,” stressed Dahal.
