As of Wednesday, 952 out of a total 1,085 infected patients have recovered and returned home in the district. With this, there are 133 active cases of coronavirus in the district, according to statistics from the health office. Those who tested negative after a 14-day treatment in isolation are being sent to home. Acting Medical Superintendent of the District Hospital, Dr Prakash Thakulla, said that there is a nominal chance of community transmission of the virus with active cases thoroughly being isolated and treated. Although the number of active cases have increased, the recovery rate has been good, the office said. According to official data, 317 women and 635 men from all nine local levels of the district have recovered and returned home as of Wednesday.
