KATHMANDU – Daily life in the Kathmandu Valley, which had come to a halt following the Gen Z-led protests, has gradually started returning to normal.
From early Friday morning, movement on the Valley’s streets increased. After authorities allowed mobility except for group gatherings until 11 a.m., activity was seen from the morning. Vehicles carrying milk, vegetables, and water, as well as private vehicles, were visible on the roads.
The security situation, which had nearly slipped out of control during the violent Gen Z-led demonstrations that caused unimaginable loss of life and property, has also started to stabilize.
According to the notice issued by the Army, prohibitory orders will remain in effect from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. However, a few hours before and after that period have been opened to facilitate daily life.
Similarly, in other districts and cities, daily life is also gradually returning to normal.
