According to the ministry, the pardon was granted by the UAE government in response to a request made by the Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi under the ministry’s instruction. The Government of Nepal expressed its gratitude and appreciation to the UAE for the royal pardon, describing the humanitarian gesture as a reflection of the deepening friendship and cordial bilateral relations between the two countries. The ministry said the pardoned Nepali nationals will be able to return to Nepal after completing the required legal and administrative procedures under UAE law, provided they have no other pending legal cases or travel restrictions. The Foreign Ministry said it highly values the UAE’s decision and its continued cooperation with Nepal.
