गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ BOP set up at Nepal-India border in Madi municipality Nepal BOP set up at Nepal-India border in Madi municipality KathmanduPati November 27, 2020 file photo CHITWAN – A border outpost (BOP) of the Armed Police Force has been established at the Nepal-India border in Madi Municipality-6 in the district. So far, five BOPs have been set up at Bandarjhula, Kanchhibagai, Chharchhare, Gardi and Balmiki of Madi Municipality. With this, the number of BOPs set up at borders across the country has reached 114. A team of 35 APF personnel led by APF inspector will be deputed in the district to safeguard the border, said APF Superintendent Dipak Kumar Thapa, chief of APF No 17 Battalion in Chitwan. The district shares 88 kilometers border with India, all of which fall in the Madi Municipality. APF Deputy Inspector General Mandip Shrestha on Thursday inaugurated the BOP. On the occasion, he on behalf of his department committed to safeguard the border.
